YAY for long weekends! I'm excited, are you? Any plans? This is pretty much the official last weekend of summer, and we'll be welcoming fall before we know it {I'm secretly excited for fall despite the fact that summer is my favorite season - shhh don't tell!}.

I'm leaving you with a gorgeous house tour via CWB Architects in New York. What actually led me to this home was chasing down the original source for one of the marble slathered bathrooms in my last post. Once I saw the amazing Brooklyn Heights brownstone it belonged to, I knew I had to post the entire place!  Aaahhh, a brownstone in NY, what a dream .... A catalogue comes to life!

Last week I was invited to a press conference in Haarlem, a little town near Amsterdam, to mark the release of the 2013 IKEA Catalogue. We were welcomed to the event with a delicious Swedish lunch. As well as getting lots of information, these events are great for meeting up with fellow bloggers as well. {lusting: wall to wall marble}

I think I speak for many when I profess my love for marble! In the kitchen or the bathroom, it's my dream to slather my home with this sophisticated & classic stone one day. Here's a look that I am currently coveting: a wall of marble in the bathroom. Whether it be large slabs or smaller marble tiles, it's chic and it's a look that's definitely here to stay.

Vogue Fashion night

Vogue is having a Fashion Night on September 13 in collaboration with the Bijenkorf, one of  Amsterdam biggest and most beautiful stores. What an amazing shop window at the Bijenkorf this is. I love the reflection of the houses in the window.... those are the moments I love living the city live.

{5 fashion trends for fall}

Welcome to a brand new week everyone, and the last week of August believe it or not! Looking into September, I'm getting kinda excited about fall fashions. Evenings are already requiring sweaters around here, and I can smell autumn in the air. On that note, here are 5 items that are definitely on my radar for fall:

The velvet slipper, or smoking slipper, is all the rage lately. Comfy and cute, I'm particularly smitten with those embroidered with a chic crest {like the ones below from Nine West!}. Preppy all the way.

Paris through the eyes of a photographer

Did you ever experienced the feeling of finding a blog and getting totally lost in it for hours? I got that the other night, it always seem to happen the nights you will try to go to bed early isn't it ;)  When everything around you is quiet and you are flipping through the pages and admiring beautiful shots, one after another.... Reading the words of photographer Hannah Lemholt and looking at her beautiful pictures  can only make you dream.

I love the few pictures she shot in Paris... one of my favorite towns and I can't wait to be wandering around again in a couple of weeks... dreaming of Paris just always feels so fine.
